Important Notice to CHFCU VISA^® Cardholders
As criminals become more sophisticated, the need to protect your credit card account in new ways is more important than ever. At Century Heritage we already monitor account activity after transactions are approved. If a transaction falls outside of your normal spending patterns, our card center calls you to verify your recent card usage. While this is helpful in preventing further charges to your account, it does not stop the initial purchase that triggered the inquiry.

Our new enhanced security protection system will review the purchase transaction at the time it is submitted for approval by the merchant. If the activity is considered extremely suspicious the purchase request may be declined. In this case you need to simply call Member Services at (800) 433-0505 between the hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

You will be asked some questions to ensure your identity, the suspicious transaction will be evaluated and if all is acceptable you will be able to continue shopping immediately. If your purchase is declined when the Member Services call center is not open, you will need to call Member Services or our Credit Card Coordinator on the next business day.

While we understand that a false decline of a transaction may cause you some inconvenience, we hope you will enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your Century Heritage VISA^® credit card carries the latest state of the art security features.

Verified by VISA
If you want extra protection from unauthorized use of your Century Heritage Credit or Debit card when making purchases online, enroll your card in the Verified by VISA product. Verified By VISA is a unique service that uses personal passwords to help protect your VISA Credit or Debit card against fraudulent use. Once you enroll in the program, your card number will be recognized by the merchant whenever you make a purchase at participating online merchant stores. When you enter your password in the Verified By VISA window, your identity will be verified and you will be able to continue with your transaction.

Even if you don’t shop online we encourage you to enroll your cards. By enrolling you have an extra level of protection against unauthorized online purchases, just in case your card number is compromised and the thief goes shopping online at participating merchant stores. To enroll and create a password, log onto www.visa.com/verified and follow the instructions or click on the Verified by VISA link.

Student Loans
